GUARDIANSHIPS
When a person becomes incapacitated without a proper Durable Power of Attorney(whether early in life unexpectedly or later in life due to age), it is often necessary to petition the Court for appointment of a Guardian. The Guardian’s duties can include handling all financial and medical decisions for the incapacitated person. The Guardian has a responsibility to report their activities to the Court as well as report on the incapacitated person’s well-being. Our firm assists clients in the original Petition for Adjudication of Incapacity and in fulfilling the reporting requirements as ordered by the Court, once a Guardian has been appointed.
